Independent sending IP reputation monitoring

Monitor your sending IP reputation every day — even after Google Postmaster Tools v2

Looking for IP Reputation in Postmaster Tools v2? It is not there. Google's v2 interface and API carry over every previous dashboard except Domain Reputation and IP Reputation, which Google has said will be retired. Your sending IPs still carry reputation with every mailbox provider — this is how you keep watching it.

IP Reputation Monitor checks every sending IP you operate once a day, scores it 0–100 with the independent Innova Reputation Score, classifies it Good, Warning or Critical, and stores the history so you can see exactly when a score began to slide and which IP moved.

  • Daily automatic checks — no manual lookups
  • Independent 0–100 Innova Reputation Score
  • Good · Warning · Critical · No Data classification
  • Reputation history and trend monitoring
  • SMTP grouping and critical IP detection
  • Reputation-change alerts and CSV exports on Command
7-day free trial · up to 5 IPs No payment details for the trial Plans from $15/month · 50+ IPs on request
Critical detected · SMTP-02198.51.100.8 slid from 79 to 64 across the last seven daily checks.
What changed

Google changed Postmaster Tools. Your sending IPs did not stop having a reputation.

Teams used the old IP Reputation dashboard as a daily habit. Here is the situation in plain terms, and where independent monitoring fits.

Not in Postmaster Tools v2

The Domain Reputation and IP Reputation dashboards — with their Bad / Low / Medium / High ratings — are not included in the v2 interface or the v2 API. Google's stated reason: reputation data was slow to reflect changes and easy to misread as the whole deliverability picture.

What changed in v2

What Google still provides

Postmaster Tools v2 keeps the Compliance status, Spam rate, Feedback loop, Authentication, Encryption and Delivery errors dashboards. They describe how Gmail users react to your mail — not the standing of each individual sending IP.

How to check Gmail IP reputation now

What IP Reputation Monitor adds

A per-IP, per-day, independent measurement across your whole SMTP infrastructure: a 0–100 score, a status, a history and a trend for every address you send from. Not one provider's private view — an operational signal your team controls.

The Postmaster IP reputation alternative
Inside the platform

Built for teams that operate sending infrastructure

Manage IPs and SMTP groups, review today's reputation, and look back at how every IP moved over time — from one account.

Today's reputation for every monitored IP, on one screen

Totals for Good, Warning, Critical, No Data and Technical Alerts sit above a summary for every SMTP group, so the overall picture and the specific server are visible together.

  • Individual 0–100 Innova Reputation Score per IP
  • Filter by SMTP group, IP address, status and date
  • Technical Alerts show when a scheduled check could not complete
Innova Reputation Score

One number per IP. The same scale every day.

The Innova Reputation Score consolidates multiple infrastructure and reputation signals into a single 0–100 indicator, so every IP, every SMTP group and every day is compared on the same scale.

It is an independent measurement. It is not Google's internal reputation, and it does not claim to know any mailbox provider's private value. What it gives you is a consistent, daily, per-IP reading your team can trend, compare and act on.

Example: an IP scoring 84 is Good. A drop to 78 moves it to Warning; below 70 it becomes Critical.

80–100
Good

Reputation within the healthy range.

70–79
Warning

Early deterioration that deserves a review.

< 70
Critical

Reputation problems that require attention now.

No Data

No measurement was available for the IP on that day.

!
Technical Alert

A scheduled check could not be completed properly and needs review.

Monitoring, not lookups

Reputation changes don't happen overnight. A one-time check can't show you that.

Free IP reputation checkers tell you what an address looks like right now. They do not tell you that it looked different last Tuesday, or that three IPs in the same pool are drifting together.

IP Reputation Monitor stores every daily result. In the example, one IP moved from 88 to 64 across 14 checks: it crossed into Warning on day 7 and into Critical on day 12, while a neighbouring IP in the same account stayed steady near 85. A single lookup on day 14 would have shown only the final number.

  • See the day a decline started and how fast it moved
  • Compare one IP against the rest of its SMTP group
  • Bring dated evidence into deliverability investigations

Who uses it

For the people who are asked "is it our IPs?"

SMTP administrators

Run your own Postfix, Exim, PowerMTA or Exchange relays? Watch every outbound IP daily and know which server to look at when throttling starts.

Deliverability teams

Replace the Postmaster IP Reputation habit with a dated, per-IP history you can trend, compare and bring into an investigation.

ESPs and agencies

Group IPs by customer or pool. See at a glance whether a problem is isolated to one client's dedicated IP or spreading across shared infrastructure.

FAQ

Questions about IP reputation monitoring

Is the IP Reputation dashboard available in Google Postmaster Tools v2?

No. Google's help center states that all dashboards from the old Postmaster Tools are available in v2 except the Domain and IP Reputation dashboards, which will be retired. The v2 API also excludes Domain and IP reputation. IP Reputation Monitor is an independent way to keep a daily view of your sending IPs.

Is the Innova Reputation Score the same as Google's IP reputation?

No. Gmail's internal reputation is private and is not published as a number. The Innova Reputation Score is an independent 0–100 measurement that consolidates multiple infrastructure and reputation signals so every IP, group and day is compared on the same scale. It supports monitoring decisions; it does not represent any mailbox provider's internal value.

How often are my sending IPs checked?

Every configured IP address is checked automatically once per day. Each result is stored, so the platform builds a day-by-day reputation history for every IP and every SMTP group instead of a single point-in-time reading.

What do Good, Warning and Critical mean?

Scores from 80 to 100 are classified as Good, 70 to 79 as Warning and below 70 as Critical. No Data means no measurement was available for that IP on that day, and Technical Alert means a scheduled check could not be completed properly and needs review.

Can I monitor more than 50 IP addresses?

Yes. Enterprise plans support custom IP capacity for organizations monitoring more than 50 sending IP addresses, along with advanced reporting, custom retention and custom implementation options. Use the Enterprise request form and we will define the scope with you.

Does IP Reputation Monitor guarantee inbox placement?

No monitoring service can. Reputation is one of several signals receiving systems use to accept, filter, throttle or reject mail. What the platform gives you is earlier, clearer visibility into reputation changes across your sending infrastructure so your team can investigate and act sooner.
